IPTV middleware

AMW IPTV middleware is designed to control and supervise interactive television. 

Introduction

Interactive TV (iTV) is a television of a new generation:

• Audiovisual production presentation according to users demand;
• News broadcast in the internet, audio and video production in a users screen;
• High definition television (or HDTV)
• Informational system windows and internet in TV screen;

Interactive TV is not a distant future – it’s a reality! Saying this, Joint Stock Company “Ambernet” specialists, present combined software pack “Ambernet AMW”, which is designed to control and supervise iTV throughout IP network.

“Ambernet AMW” pack is made of two closely linked parts:

• AMW Top – software pack is responsible for user equipment (iTV recipient) control;
• AMW Control – is a pack designed to form i TV system content, to control and supervise;

Personal TV and radio program user guide control

User has a possibility to create personal program packs, and also to block any access to chosen channels.

EPG – electronic program guide

Electronic program guide allows seeing the title of translated show or film as well as to learn future broadcast content.

Video on demand (VoD)

Visual material on user request.

Paid TV channels (nVOD)

It’s a virtual movie theatre, where paid sport, cinema, erotic channels are transmitted according to system administrator formed schedule.

Extra functions

Integrated forecast, Internet published news, cross-rate and other modules (quantity and content of these modules depend on user request).

It’s a possibility to change system language, video and audio output configuration, also to change system skins (themes);

AMW Control

TV and radio channel control

iTV system transmitted channels control. Possibility to synchronize channel data with those that are transmitted by “Astreamer”.

User equipment control

User database control. Possibility to synchronize user data using AMW API;

Full VoD data control

VoD production control, adding metadata about actors, directors, authors, etc. from a constantly updated database;

EPG data channel attribution module

EPG data may be supplied from several sources by choice. It can be data, which is obtained with a channel content, or it may be data presented by third parts.

EPG data import module

It is EPG production import, timing and adaptation module, presented by third parts.

System menu formation module

Static information administration module.

TV and VOD attendance statistics submission

Activity watchout module in iTV system – information about how TV and radio channels are being watched and listened during to chosen period, according to chosen genre or client groups. VoD production watchability.
